At the 8th Conference of the European Survey Research Association, which will take place 15th-19th July 2019 in Zagreb, Croatia, one session is dedicated to the challenges and solutions of developing a comparative longitudinal survey of child well-being in Europe.
The coordinators of the session invite you to think about the following challenges:
- developing the survey design, from sample selection through to data collection and archiving
- gaining national funding for the duration of the study
- establishing a governance structure to manage the complexities of a comparative longitudinal survey
- ensuring that the data platform is highly usable and reaches a broad field of researchers
- ensuring that the results will be of use to policy makers at both national and European levels
- involving children and young people at all stages of the process, from design through to policy recommendations
The call for abstracts (max. 300 words) is open until 18th of November.
