EuroCohort at 3rd International Conference on Childhood and Adolescence in Porto

EuroCohort team members from Daugavpils University, Professor Anita Stasulane and researcher Ilze Kacane participated in the 3rd International Conference on Childhood and Adolescence ICCA 2019 that was held on January 23-25 in Porto, Portugal. The international event promoted a dialogue among researchers, professionals, students, teachers, parents etc. about childhood and adolescence issues with the help of multidisciplinary perspective and experience. Anita Stasulane’s presentation focused on the concept of well-being from children’s perspective, whereas Ilze Kacane discussed the benefits of comparative longitudinal survey for enhancing the quality of life of children and youth across Europe.

ICCA 2019, organized by eventQualia in cooperation with the Social Paediatric Subcommittee (SPS-SPP) of the Portuguese Society of Paediatrics and Portuguese Society for the Study of Abused and Neglected Children (SPECAN), gathered over 500 participants from five continents. The SPS’s mission is to protect and promote the protection of the rights of children and young people in the evolving society, promoting research, implementing good practices. SPECAN represents the areas related with abused and neglected children, including Law, Medicine, Psychology, Sociology, Services of Childhood and Youth Protection.
