In the frames of the annual conference of social sciences, a discussion titled „Children and youth in changing environments” was held. Marge Unt from Tallinn University discussed there how the ongoing projects can relate to and contribute to the agenda setting of youth policy developments, putting special emphasis on EuroCohort.
In addition to scientist form Tallinn and Tartu Universities all three main institutions dealing with issues of youth in Estonia were represented: Youth Affairs Department of the Ministry of Education and Research, Estonian Youth Work Centre and Youth Agency of Archimedes Foundation. Information about the most recent developments in the area of children and youth was shared. As the participants found the format beneficial, a follow-up meeting was agreed to be held in October.
The 11th annual conference of social sciences with the subtitle „The future environments of Estonia“ held from 26 to 27 of April in Tartu focussed on the coping of society and social sciences in changing environments and the sustainability of their action in future.
