Prof. Anita Stasulane from Daugavpils University delivered a presentation "A picture of well-being, as presented by children and young people in Latvia" at the 9th RSEP (Review of Socio-Economic Perspectives) International Conference.
Prof. Stasulane presented results from the field work which was undertaken with the goal of finding out the meaning and the significance that children and young people allocate to well-being in Latvia. To develop the instruments to measure children’s and young people’s well-being, it is very important to take their own views and opinions into account. The well-being of children is fundamental to society, but currently very little comparative research is being done. Prof. Stasulane introduced the EuroCohort project, which is developing a cross-European survey that would supply comparative data on the well-being of children and youth from EU countries and beyond.
The RSEP (Review of Socio-Economic Perspectives) International Conference was held from 13th to 15th of November in Rome.
