Dr. Ilze Kacane (Daugavpils University) participated in a group interview where she emphasized the potential of EuroCohort as a way to collect data on the lives of children and young people to measure the level of their well-being. The interview led by Dr. sc. admin. Dita Štefenhagena, the expert in higher education and science of the Latvian Trade Union of Education and Science Employees (LIZDA), has been published in the electronic journal "LIZDA Messenger" and provides information on the activities of the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences in EuroCohort project. The broader focus of the group interview was the significance of science, the activities of the researchers and the problems they are facing while working at the regional university in Latvia.
Latvian Trade Union of Education and Science Employees (LIZDA) is an independent organisation founded in May 19, 1990 and at the moment is the largest trade union in Latvia. LIZDA unites almost 30 000 employees, students and seniors working in education and science fields.
