Pilot Framework
The following report provides a framework for piloting the future EuroCohort survey. It describes and prescribes the general and specific approaches for testing questionnaires and survey procedures. It specifies the requirements for three different phases of piloting: pre-pilot, pilot (instrument testing) and dress-rehearsal, and provides the estimates of piloting costs. The report is mainly related to piloting procedures for wave one of each cohort but, as some parts of the piloting will need to be longitudinal, it also proposes basic procedures for piloting the next waves.
